Trevin David Over 15 years ago, under the influence of my father, I took the first steps towards learning the guitar. I started out on the acoustic 6 string and shortly thereafter mesmerized by the sweet sounds of Leo Kottke's acoustic artistry I took to the 12 string.  My first influences were intially blues based classic rock of the ’60s and ’70s: Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. Although the acoustic guitar helped me develop a sense of rhythm and was fine for getting those chords down, I soon realised that it had its limitations when soloing. The strings were just too heavy for that. So I went and got my first electric. This also paved the way for new influences from the likes of Albert King, Freddy King, Albert Collins, Lonny Mack and others, thanks to my inspirator Stevie Ray Vaughan's praise of his own mentors. Discovering Stevie Ray was a milestone in  my playing style and drive for achieving "tone". Stevie Ray's influences are now deeply rooted in my style of playing to the extent that it is overly present. In the past I have played in various bands in the USA  and The Netherlands. Currently I also play in the blues-rock power-trio Little Wing. And by the way, I am also TDB's lead singer (not quite by choice).

Machiel van Winden  I play the keyboards in the band. However, originally and at heart I am a guitarist. After noodling around on the acoustic guitar and playing some jazz, I decided to study flamenco guitar.  Just as that was starting to take off , I had an unlucky encounter with a crocodile as a result of which I lost the top of two fingers. That brought the end to my flashy guitar work. But I just could not stay away from making music and the keys are broader than strings so I went for the piano. My teenage years was the time of Woodstock: Ten Years After, Santana, Hendrix. But also: Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Black Sabbath, John Lee Hooker, The Allman Brothers, etc. Later on I was influenced by Jimmy Smith. The longer compositions interest me the most. These allow one to tell the whole story (and take one's time at doing that). I just love long stories. But I'll keep this one short.

Enrico Lindo van der Vlist  At the age of 11 I started playing the organ.  Did that for 2 years. By then I was already beating on the windowsils with my cousin's drumsticks. Only when I was about 19 did the drums serious catch my attention.  I rememeber walking down the street when I heard someone playing drums in the attic and I was sold immediately. That very evening I went out and bought a drum kit at Japie's. Actually right after my first 'hit' on drums I started out playing  with others and very soon helped understand how to play with others. James Brown & Johnny Guitar Watson were my first inspirations; That was just great! After a while others like Defunkt entered my playing field. The way those cats played was just 'dirty' but damn right tight. That made me want to sound just like that!!
I then went on to play in a funk band: The Social Funk Band, which lasted about four years and with which a gigged quite a lot.  When that band's bass player left, I asked Bobby (our former bass player), whom I had met shortly before. After that band fell apart I started playing with many bands, just as I do today . Since 2001 I chose to make my living playing music. Since then I have played in bands of various styles of music  and embarked on many projects. In The Netherlands, but also beyond our borders such as in Russia and Egypt.
After some time Bobby and I started playing together in different bands. One of those bands is the Trevin David Band. I met Trevin at an Irish pub where I was playing and where Trevin used to play quite often with TDB. One day he asked me to join the band. I thought he was a great player and agreed immediately. We have now been together for about 4 years and have delivered some fine music along the way.

Bobby Bax I was born on July 16, 1970 in Rotterdam. I grew up in a family in which my father and his brothers played guitar.  My father (Indonesian), played mostly country & western, Rock & Roll and traditional Indonesian songs.

As the youngest of four kids I fell for the guitar at an early age, being inspired by the music of the time and personal tastes of my siblings.  Shortly thereafter my own composition came to being. I used to play the guitar flat with its back on my lap. I took guitar lessons when I was eight. That lasted for about 2 years during which I learnt most of the popular songs of the day.

My first experience playing in front of an audience was at a home for the elderly where a bunch of us students got together played our first gig and felt the first drops of nervous sweat when I had to introduce myself to the crowd. My first song in a live setting - singing and playing guitar - was John Lennon's "Imagine".

At 14 I started playing bass in a band of friends.  Although funk was very popular at the time, I became more and more intrigued by slapping on the bass, mainly as result of the covers we played of Level 42. After some hard labouring I was able to unravel Mark King's style. I know I must have driven my parents nuts with my noodling.

After seeing a documentary about the blues, I started getting more interested in that style of music. These were the years I remember my brothers driving big American cars with the radio cranking out  Stevie Ray Vaughn & George Thorogood.

Rick and I have always hung around each other. We have known each other for well over ten years now. Rick was more involved with playing with other people. I wasn't quite into that, but in the end he talked me over and we ended up playing in various bands and working on many different projects including jamming with Miko/ex-prince guitarist. Too many to mention here, but anyway, thanks to Rick I got in touch with the Trevin David Band that I instantly fell for and have been rockin' with for the past so many years!
